Dear Emily,
Your dad sent me a link to your site. I met you when you were quite young and I was not so bald. I really enjoy your work. I especially enjoyed Fin de Calle.
Take care,

Where’s the cat? I want to see the cat!

Dear Shawna,
“Snake Baby” is a very old and very private cat. I’ll see what I can do- maybe he’ll let me draw him, sometimes he does. He is, however, suspicious of photography, especially the new-fangled digital photos.

Emily,
I love “Pretty White Ass.” I wish my mom could have seen it — she would have loved to have it for her Tucson home. She was a very “proper” person, but she loved a good play on words, particularly naughty ones!
Keep up the good work! Now that I know where to find your work, I’ll check back to see what you’re up to! Definitely stick to painting the “critters!” It’s obvious you really love them.

Quite the menagerie you have there! But you gotta love ‘em, we sure do love all ours!
3 horses, 3 dogs (2 aussies, 1 lab) and 3 cats. And it will probably grow, if I have anything to say about it.

As a young man I drank my share of Wellers.. as the bottle says “Wellers and water is wonderful” love your painting and your pics.. hope to hear back..
July 10, 2009 at 4:42 pm
El Reno Okie,
Thanks! The Weller bottle actually doesn’t say Weller and Water is Wonderful any more. I’m assuming it used to. I’ll look it up.

I saw your donation for LOPE and followed the link here. I was a jockey for many years and have a heart for retired Thoroughbreds. Thanks for supporting their cause and for painting such lovely pieces.

I absolutely love your “Different type of Saint” of Saint Marta!! I was online looking for information about her because i know nothing and found you instead! But your description of her as ” One bad-ass virgin saint” says it all! You do wonderful work!

Even us artist folks down here in Florida think your painting are great. Very imaginative use of other objects in art as well.
Like your kitchen decor behind you playing the stringed instrument!
